Android 17 Updates Reach Samsung Galaxy S26 and Motorola Phones
Samsung has begun rolling out stable One UI 9 to Galaxy S26 devices in the US, while Motorola brings its Qira AI assistant to more handsets via Android 17.

Two smartphone makers are pushing Android 17-based software to more devices, according to reports from Android Authority and GSMArena.
Samsung has reportedly started distributing the stable One UI 9 update, which is based on Android 17, to Galaxy S26 owners in the US. Android Authority reported that users on the r/S26Ultra subreddit say the update is arriving on T-Mobile Galaxy S26 Ultra units, though there are conflicting claims about whether it is available on AT&T variants. It is not confirmed whether other S26 models are also receiving the update. Galaxy S26 phones had already begun getting the stable release in Korea before the US rollout.
