WhatsApp has introduced a set of new features for its messaging platform, according to GSMArena.
The first is Group Status, which allows users to post Status updates that are only visible to members of a specific group. According to GSMArena, group members can view, react to, and like these updates, as well as post their own. As with standard Status updates, Group Statuses disappear after 24 hours.
WhatsApp has also expanded how message history can be shared. Group admins could already pass on a group's past messages to new members during the process of adding them. The new option lets users share older messages with members after they have joined, by tapping the member's name in the group chat.
