
Valve Adds Big Art Mode in Latest Steam Beta UI Update
A new Steam beta introduces Big Art Mode, alongside custom screensavers and an optional Home screen calendar.

Valve has released a new Steam beta that adds a feature called Big Art Mode to the platform's interface, according to TechPowerUp.
The company has been refining the Big Picture and handheld client interface since the debut of the Steam Deck, and the latest changes arrive as the Steam Machine reaches gamers. TechPowerUp reported that Big Art Mode broadly replicates the functionality of DeckyLoader, a third-party community-built tool.
When turned on, the optional mode enlarges game thumbnails into a large vertical shelf along the bottom of the screen, while the selected game's artwork is scaled up to fill the background. This replaces the standard grid layout that arranges games across shelves.
