Some of the earliest buyers of Apple's new foldable, the iPhone Duo, say the device's inner screen has cracked after only a small number of folds, according to Android Authority.
The publication reported that the damage has been appearing near the crease of the inner display. One owner said their screen broke after fewer than 20 unfolds, and that Apple replaced the handset immediately.
The iPhone Duo went on sale on October 23, with the device priced at around $2,000. Android Authority noted that supply is limited and delivery estimates are long.
According to Android Authority, the cause and the overall scale of the problem are not established, and it is too early to determine whether the reports point to a wider design issue.
