Belgian Startup Spott Raises $21 Million to Build AI Platform for Recruiters
Leuven-based Spott has secured $21 million in Series A funding led by Balderton Capital to develop an AI-native operating system for recruitment agencies.

Spott, a startup based in Leuven, Belgium, has raised $21 million (about €18.3 million) in a Series A funding round, the company announced. The round was led by Balderton Capital, with participation from Base10 Partners, Y Combinator and Fortino.
The funding follows a seed round of $3.2 million (about €2.8 million) raised in March 2025, bringing Spott's total funding to $24 million to date.
Spott develops an AI-native applicant tracking system (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) platform aimed at recruitment agencies. The company argues that human judgement accounts for only around a fifth of a recruiter's workload, with the remainder taken up by administrative tasks and candidate sourcing. It contends that AI can handle much of that work, leaving final decisions to people.
