Apple has introduced a redesigned iPad mini, built around an 8.5-inch OLED display and the company's A20 Pro chip. The tablet measures 5.4mm thick and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, according to GSMArena.
The OLED panel runs at a resolution of 1512x2316 and, per Apple, offers more than double the peak brightness of the previous model, along with higher contrast. A nano-texture finish is available as an option. The A20 Pro chip includes Neural Accelerators in each GPU core and a dual 16-core Neural Engine aimed at AI workloads.
Other additions include a 12MP Center Stage front camera positioned on the landscape edge, faster wireless and cellular connectivity, and fast-charge support. The device ships with iPadOS 27, which brings Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features capable of drawing on a user's personal context and understanding on-screen content.
