Moonshot AI, a Chinese developer of artificial intelligence models, is preparing for an initial public offering in Hong Kong after reaching a valuation of $50 billion, according to Ventureburn.
The outlet reported that industry insiders expect the public debut to take place in the first quarter of 2027. Moonshot AI was founded in 2023 and has raised several funding rounds in recent months, including a $2 billion round at a $20 billion valuation in May, per Ventureburn.
The company builds open-weight AI models, which Ventureburn described as developer-friendly tools. According to the report, the additional capital is intended to help the company secure computing power, recruit talent, and develop next-generation model architectures ahead of a listing.
