The Global Startup Awards has opened applications for its 12th edition, offering a free, equity-free route to recognition for early-stage startups.

The Global Startup Awards (GSA) has opened applications for its 12th edition, inviting early-stage founders to apply, according to EU-Startups.
The programme is free to enter and takes no equity. According to EU-Startups, applying requires three items: a one-minute form, a pitch deck and a one-pager. The GSA team then assigns each startup to the appropriate region and category so that it competes against others working in comparable areas.
EU-Startups reported that 17 GSA alumni have since reached unicorn status, meaning a valuation of at least €1 billion.
