
LimeTax Raises €36 Million to Consolidate German Tax Firms With AI
The Berlin startup secured €6 million in equity and a €30 million credit facility to acquire local tax practices and embed an AI platform into their daily work.

Berlin-based startup LimeTax has raised €36 million to acquire German tax and accounting firms and equip them with artificial intelligence, according to Ventureburn and EU-Startups.
The financing splits into two parts: a €6 million pre-seed equity round and a €30 million credit facility. The equity round was led by New York-based Motive Partners, with participation from Activant and Heliad. The credit facility came from a consortium of German banks and is intended to fund the purchase of additional firms.
The equity round also drew individual backers, including former German Finance Minister Christian Lindner. EU-Startups reported further participation from Alexander Kudlich, a former Rocket Internet executive and co-founder of 468 Capital, along with Anton Rummel and Ante Spittler, the founders of fintech company Moss.
