US software company Intuit has acquired Sequence, a UK fintech that applies artificial intelligence to help startups manage revenue, in a transaction the Times estimated at around $200m, according to Tech.eu.
Founded in 2021 and operating from London and New York, Sequence uses AI to automate business billing, payments and revenue management. Its customers include startups such as Legora and Cognition. Tech.eu reported that the deal is described as one of the largest exits by a UK AI startup with a female co-founder.
Sequence was co-founded by Riya Grover, who previously worked at Deutsche Bank and was CEO and co-founder of the food tech startup Feedr, which Compass acquired in 2020 in a $24m deal. Her co-founder, Eamon Jubbawy, co-founded the identity verification firm Onfido, sold for $650m in 2024, and is founder and CEO of the climate startup Isometric. Citing the Times, Tech.eu said Grover holds more than a 45 per cent stake in Sequence and Jubbawy more than 15 per cent.
