
Revised US CLARITY Act Adds Ethics Curbs on Officials' Crypto Activity

President Donald Trump has accepted stricter conflict-of-interest provisions in the latest version of the U.S. Senate's CLARITY Act, removing a significant hurdle before a scheduled procedural vote on the cryptocurrency legislation, according to BitKE.
Senate Republicans published the revised text after folding in 126 substantive changes requested by Democrats. Trump agreed to most of the proposed ethics measures, including a role for state attorneys general in enforcing limits on public officials' crypto dealings, BitKE reported. The revisions target concerns about conflicts of interest linked to Trump, whose family holds extensive cryptocurrency interests.
