Lexroom Buys France's Query Juriste and Bulgaria's Praven Intelekt in First Acquisitions

The founders and teams of both acquired companies will join Lexroom and continue working on their respective markets, while the Query Juriste and Praven Intelekt brands will be phased into the Lexroom brand over time.

Tech.eu quoted co-founder and chief executive Paolo Fois, who said the two companies stood out for their teams, traction and products, and that combining Lexroom's technology, scale and capital with local expertise was the way to build a category-defining legal AI platform in Europe.

Sifted reported that the acquisitions come four months after Lexroom closed a $50m Series B round.

Both outlets noted a core challenge in scaling legal AI across the continent: legal work remains local, with each jurisdiction carrying its own legislation, case law, regulatory framework, legal language and professional workflows.
