New leaks circulating ahead of Samsung's next flagship series suggest camera changes across the Galaxy S27 range.
According to Android Authority, the standard Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Plus could adopt the same 3x telephoto system expected on the Galaxy S27 Pro. An earlier report had linked the S27 Pro to a 12MP 3x camera, but the more recent leak does not confirm the sensor specifications for the two cheaper models. Samsung's regular Galaxy S handsets have seen few telephoto improvements over recent generations, so the reported move would mark a shift if accurate.
Separately, GSMArena reported on a leak concerning the Galaxy S27 Ultra's telephoto setup, sourced from a tipster on X. The device has been rumored more than once to drop one rear camera, leaving it with three rather than the four found on the S26 Ultra. The new claim indicates Samsung may replace both of the S26 Ultra's telephoto cameras with a single unit built around a 1/1.9-inch type sensor offering 4x optical zoom. Android Authority also noted that Samsung is reportedly testing a 50MP 4x telephoto camera for the S27 Ultra.
