Intel has confirmed that its upcoming flagship client processor, codenamed Nova Lake, will be manufactured by Intel Foundry on the company's 18A-P node. CEO Lip-Bu Tan made the disclosure during Intel's Q3 2026 earnings call, according to reporting from TechPowerUp and Tom's Hardware.
Tan described Nova Lake as Intel's first 18A-P client product and said it is running ahead of schedule. He added that the company expects design wins at launch to be roughly double those of Panther Lake. Intel plans to share further information about the chip at CES in January.
The confirmation follows earlier uncertainty over how Nova Lake would be produced. Intel had initially planned to dual-source the processor, outsourcing the bulk of the main compute tile production to TSMC on its 2 nm N2 node, with TSMC expected to handle around 60-70% of output and Intel Foundry producing the rest in-house on the 18A node. Later supply chain reports indicated Intel intended to move the majority of compute tile production in-house onto 18A-P.
