European AI Startups IVEX and Arlequin Raise Series A Rounds

Alongside the funding, IVEX expanded its board of directors. New members include Jan Leuridan, former CEO of Siemens Industry Software NV; Omar Mohout, a Director at Deloitte; Simon Alexandre, a Partner at The Faktory; and IVEX co-founder Quentin de Clercq, who now leads AI strategy at ASML in the United States. They join co-founder and CEO Mario Torres on the board.

Separately, Paris-based Arlequin AI raised €28 million to develop its topological neural network architecture and expand its technology internationally, Tech.eu reported. The round was co-led by redalpine and OTB Ventures, with participation from Bpifrance's Defence Innovation Fund. Existing investors Vsquared Ventures and 10x Founders increased their stakes, and Xavier Niel also joined.

Arlequin AI was founded in 2024 by Hugo Micheron, a specialist in terrorism studies and geopolitical instability, and Antoine Jardin, a former CNRS research engineer focused on data science and human behaviour. The company builds AI systems for organisations making high-stakes decisions from large and fragmented datasets, analysing relationships across documents, transactions, video, and operational data while allowing users to trace results back to the underlying evidence. Its topological neural network approach is designed to learn from both individual data points and the relationships between them.

Perplexity and Nvidia have made Portable Computer, a local-first AI agent, available on Windows machines with GeForce RTX or RTX PRO GPUs carrying at least 24GB of VRAM.
