
Duolingo Acquires London Animation Studio Animade
Duolingo has bought London-based motion design studio Animade, whose team will join the language platform's in-house Design Studio. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Duolingo, the Pittsburgh-based mobile learning company, has acquired Animade, a London-based animation and motion design studio, the two firms confirmed. Neither side disclosed the financial terms of the deal.
Founded in 2010, Animade works across product storytelling, branding, interactive experiences, and character animation, and has built an international reputation for expressive motion systems for major technology companies and brands. The studio operates across 2D and 3D animation, illustration, sound design, and augmented reality projects. Recent client work cited by EU-Startups includes projects for Dropbox and LEGO, plus a mascot design for an AI learning tool.
