Russian technology company Yandex reported that one of its cloud availability zones has gone offline following a drone attack on a data center in Sasovo, a town roughly 300 kilometers southeast of Moscow. According to The Register, the company said a fire sparked by the strike affected part of its cloud infrastructure and that data center operations were fully stopped.

The firm advised customers to turn to alternative restoration options, including its own bare metal servers, while cautioning that normal service would not return soon. Reuters reported the company was uncertain whether operations at the facility could be restored at all.
