Stablecoin issuer Circle is working to bring its USDC and EURC tokens into enterprise payment workflows through a partnership with Tereina, a financial services company backed by German software group SAP, according to BitKE.
The integration is designed to let eligible businesses that use SAP's financial software send and receive the two stablecoins without leaving their existing applications. USDC would serve as the preferred option for dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC would handle payments in euros.
BitKE reported that the integration will initially target SAP Cloud ERP via SAP Pay. Tereina and Circle plan to run proof-of-value programs with customers over the coming months, concentrating on cross-border payments and corporate treasury operations. The companies said the SAP ecosystem accounts for 84% of global commerce, which could give stablecoins access to a large pool of corporate payment and treasury activity.
