AMD has made its FSR 4.1 upscaling technology available on a wider range of hardware, including the Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, and several Ryzen AI processors, according to reporting from Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp.
The company had previously limited FSR 4 to its newest RX 9000 cards before extending it to the RX 7000 series earlier in the year, with an RX 6000 rollout originally slated for early 2027. The RX 6000 cards, launched in 2020, are built on the RDNA 2 architecture. Beyond those GPUs, the update reaches Ryzen Z-series handhelds and systems using Ryzen AI Max and Ryzen AI 9 chips. TechPowerUp specifies these include the Strix Halo and Gorgon Halo APUs as well as the Strix Point and Gorgon Point mobile processors.
