
Three Startups Across MENA, US and Europe Secure Fresh Funding

Three technology startups operating in different regions and sectors have disclosed new funding rounds, targeting payments, health benefits brokerage and recruitment software.
Paymob raises $35 million for MENA expansion
Paymob said it has secured $35 million in a Pre-Series C round, taking its total funding beyond $125 million, according to Ventureburn. New backers include Mubadala Investment Company and the EBRD, with British International Investment, Global Ventures and DPI Ventures also participating.
The company plans to use the capital to grow across the Middle East and North Africa, scaling digital payment acceptance in its current markets, developing products for small and medium-sized businesses, and supporting emerging agentic commerce applications. Paymob currently operates in Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman, and its platform serves more than 390,000 merchants. Its omnichannel system supports over 60 payment methods across online and offline channels, combining payment gateways, point-of-sale terminals, SoftPOS and payment links, along with integrated fraud detection and PCI DSS certification.
