Microsoft is reportedly contacting Xbox Series X|S owners who have not used their consoles recently, encouraging them to trade the hardware in at Best Buy, according to TechPowerUp.
The message, first circulated by the account Nintendeal on X, opens by asking whether the recipient has played on their console lately and tells those who have switched to other platforms that they can receive up to $375 back. TechPowerUp reported that Gizmodo confirmed with Xbox that the email is genuine.
The top figure of $375 applies to a Series X in good condition supplied with its cables and controller, while a Series S reportedly reaches a maximum of $200. Payment is issued as a Best Buy eGift Card, and the offer currently appears to be restricted to the United States.
