
Italy's Biorsaf Raises €5.2M and Acquires Cooki to Build AI Food Compliance Platform
The Tuscany-based food safety software firm closed a €5.2 million round led by P101 SGR and acquired Bologna's Cooki to consolidate Italy's food RegTech market.

Biorsaf, an Italian company based in Tuscany that focuses on digitising food safety and quality processes, has closed a €5.2 million funding round and acquired Cooki, a Bologna-based platform for managing food information digitally.
According to EU-Startups, the deal creates what it describes as Italy's first operator able to offer a single solution spanning every stage of compliance and data management across the food value chain, from food safety (HACCP) and quality to traceability, nutritional values, cost analysis and labelling.
The round was led by P101 SGR, with participation from existing investors Maia Ventures, Farming Future (the National Technology Transfer Hub for AgrifoodTech) and Toscana Next. Farming Future had backed Biorsaf's first funding round in November 2024.
