
Index Ventures Raises €1.7bn, Lifting Total Capital to Nearly €3bn
The venture firm has closed roughly €1.7 billion in new capital across seed, venture and growth funds, doubling down on AI as it marks its 30th anniversary.

Index Ventures, the global venture capital firm, has raised approximately €1.7 billion ($2 billion) in new capital, taking its total investing capital to close to €3 billion ($3.5 billion) across seed, venture and growth stages.
The new capital is split across a €346.9 million ($400 million) seed fund, a €780.4 million ($900 million) venture fund, and a further €607.01 million ($700 million) committed to the firm's existing growth fund. That additional growth commitment lifted its 2024 fund from €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion) to €1.9 billion ($2.2 billion).
Founded in 1996, Index Ventures is marking its 30th anniversary with the raise. The firm invests across seed, venture and growth stages and across sectors. In a blog post, the firm said the capital would let it continue backing founders from first check through the public markets, across a ten-hour time zone spanning from Tel Aviv to San Francisco.
