Google has begun notifying subscribers to its AI Plus plan that they will lose the ability to choose Pro models in the Gemini app and in AI Mode in Search, according to Android Authority.
The outlet reported that the change takes effect on November 13, 2026. After that date, access to Pro models will be reserved for subscribers on the Google AI Pro tier, priced at $19.99 per month, and the AI Ultra tier, priced at $99.99 per month.
AI Plus subscribers will keep access to Google's Flash and Flash Lite models, Android Authority said. Existing conversations that used Pro models will need to be continued using a different model.
