Google plans to shift production of its Pixel devices out of China, moving manufacturing to India and Vietnam, according to a report by Nikkei cited by Tom's Hardware and GSMArena.
The move would cover the company's full hardware lineup, including Pixel smartphones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds. Tom's Hardware reported that Google aims to relocate this production beginning in 2027 as part of an effort to reduce its dependence on China amid tensions between Beijing and Washington. GSMArena's account referred to Google wanting to end Pixel production in China as early as next year.
