Google is introducing additional controls that let users shape what appears across its Search, Discover and Google News products, according to reporting from Engadget and Android Authority.
In Discover, users will be able to indicate the topics and links they want to see more of rather than relying solely on Google's automatic recommendations. Android Authority reported that this can be done from the Google app by tapping the three-dot menu and describing preferred topics or links in one's own words.
Google News on Android is also gaining the option to tailor daily audio briefings around a user's interests. In addition, a new Preferred Source feature lets users prioritize their favorite publications, which can help that coverage surface across Top Stories, AI Overviews and AI Mode.
