Google Offers College Students a Free Year of Its AI Pro Plan
Eligible US college students can claim a year of Google AI Pro at no cost, alongside new Gemini, Search, and Lens study tools.

Google is giving eligible college students in the United States a free year of its Google AI Pro plan, the company announced. According to Engadget, the plan normally costs $200, while Android Authority reported the offer represents a monthly value of $19.99. The deal is available starting today.
Android Authority reported that the US offer unlocks Gemini Spark, 5TB of cloud storage, and four times higher usage limits in Gemini. International students are being offered AI Plus rather than AI Pro, according to the same outlet.
Alongside the free plans, Google introduced new study features across Gemini, Search, and Lens. These include Deep Research in Gemini Live, interactive 3D visualizations, and a Student Hub for managing deadlines and notes. In Search and Lens, Google added step-by-step coaching, custom study guide generation, and expanded practice quizzes for standardized tests such as the SAT.
