European AI and MedTech startups raise fresh funding across three rounds

5U AI secures $3.2M pre-seed for freight automation

Munich-based logistics startup 5U AI raised $3.2 million in pre-seed funding to expand its digital workforce platform for freight forwarding teams, Tech.eu reported. The round was led by London-based Emerge Capital.

Founded in 2025 by Technical University of Munich graduates Yagiz Abik and Fehmi Şener, 5U AI develops AI-powered digital workers that automate tasks across air, sea and road freight, including quoting, bookings, shipment tracking, invoice reconciliation and data entry. Its Decision Layer records the reasoning behind each operational decision, and the system is trained specifically for logistics workflows. The platform is already used by freight forwarders and carriers across Europe.

Xeltis raises €20.5M for regenerative implants

Xeltis, a commercial-stage medical technology company based in the Netherlands and the United States, raised an additional €20.5 million from new and existing shareholders, according to EU-Startups. The round was led by new investor Horizon 3 Healthcare, with participation from the European Innovation Council, Invest-NL, VI Partners, EQT Life Sciences, DaVita and other current shareholders.

Founded in 2006, Xeltis develops artificial vessels and valves that are gradually replaced by patients' own living tissue, based on its Restorex polymer implant platform. Chief Executive Officer Eliane Schutte said the funding would help bring the company's vascular access technology to more European patients, advance its aXess pivotal trial in the US, prepare for US market launch and continue its XABG and XPAD clinical programs, EU-Startups reported.
