Greyparrot raises $27M for AI waste analysis
London-based Greyparrot, which develops AI systems for monitoring waste streams, has closed a $27 million Series B round, bringing its total funding to $60 million, according to Tech.eu. The round was led by technology investor Omar Mir and follows the company's platform passing one trillion detected waste objects.
Founded by Mikela Druckman, Ambarish Mitra and Nikola Sivacki, Greyparrot builds camera-based Analyzers installed above conveyor belts that identify materials, products and brands in real time, helping recycling facilities improve recovery rates and support regulatory compliance. Its technology is used by waste management firms including WM, Circular Services, Veolia, Biffa and FCC, while brands such as Unilever, L'Oréal and Kenvue use its Deepnest platform to track packaging after disposal and support compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility rules and the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. Tech.eu reported that in early 2026 the UK's Environment Agency accepted AI-generated waste composition data from the company.
