Epic Games has delayed an unannounced game developed in collaboration with Disney and is directing its teams toward an "AI first" approach to production, according to reporting by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier.
The game is a shooter featuring characters from the Marvel and Star Wars franchises. TechPowerUp, citing Bloomberg, reported that the title had originally been slated for a March 2027 launch before the delay. Under the new workflow, the game will be produced largely with Anthropic's Claude AI tools, with humans reviewing the output.
According to the Bloomberg report, staff were told there would be no more handwritten code and that art would be generated through full AI workflows. Engadget reported that developers were instructed to use AI for both coding and asset creation.
