Eindhoven's VitalFluid Raises €17.2 Million for Plasma-Based Crop Protection
The Dutch startup uses plasma technology as a residue-free alternative to chemical fungicides and plans to expand its commercial rollout.

VitalFluid, a startup based in Eindhoven, has raised €17.2 million to expand its work on sustainable crop protection, according to EU-Startups.
The company develops plasma technology as a natural, residue-free alternative to chemical fungicides. It specialises in Plasma Activated Water (PAW) applications, which it positions as a substitute for chemical pesticides and fertilisers.
The funding round was co-led by Invest-NL and Alder Tree Investments. Invest-NL contributed €4 million. Existing shareholders also took part, including Horticoop, Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM), Future Food Fund, Graduate Ventures, Innovation Industries, VDL Groep and Goeie Grutten Impact Fonds. The total includes a €2.7 million RVO innovation credit.
